MEY SCOTT

Mey Scott is an Eastern Cape musician and producer. Crafting his skills in his home studio, Mey’s debut track is the uplifting Afro House track SKY Featuring Aphendula.

Mey Scott and Aphendulwa met through a mutual friend at the University of Fort Hare, Eastern Cape, South Africa in 2020.

Mey had been looking for a vocalist and Aphendulwa had already worked on a number of focus singles and E.P releases with Tinashe / Nash La Musica, inclusive of a premiere pick of the week for International Dj Magazine being “ DRUMS OF WAR’.

During lockdown, Mey sent Aphendulwa the beats to some tracks and Aphendulwa set about writing and draft vocal recordings for an E.P’s worth of tracks inclusive of the debut track being created which is SKY.

Once viable the two met and recorded the vocals in a professional studio called The Lab in Durban. SKY the original track was created.
