MARTIN DENEV
Martin Denev is a Bali based musician, piano and keyboard player, producer and a DJ. Growing up with classical piano education in Bulgaria, he studied later Jazz in Rotterdam Conservatory (The Netherlands), Berklee College Of Music(Boston, USA) and Latin and Afro Cuban music in Santiago de Cuba.
Martin has played on hundreds of festivals and forums on 5 continents and has shared the stage with some of the finest musicians and vocalist of our time.
So far Martin has released 14 albums on labels in UK, Germany, Australia and Indonesia. In 2020 came out the
"Perfectly Enough" EP, which had significant success in the charts and between fans and music crfitics alike.
Since 2020 Martin works with the Australian label Issamin Recordings and has released with them several albums with his projects El Manga, Martin Denev Ethno Venture and Citronade. Tunes from his albums appear on compilations in UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Germany and China.
Since 2011 Martin lives in Bali, Indonesia, where he holds residencies at the finest beach clubs and for 6 years he was the music director at Ayana and Rimba Resorts, with one of the most emblematic and popular places on the island - Rock Bar.
Whether on starge or in the studio, behind DJ decks or the Grand piano, Martin moves seamlessly between styles and genres, bending boundaries and delivering large spectrum of skills and colors reflected in hiskowledge, taste and experience.
